PASTOR’S PEN

Good Morning to all,

Doorkeeper . . . does not sound very important does it?  John 10:2-3 says (2)”. . . he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. (3) To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.”

Obviously the “sheep” mentioned here represent Israel and Jesus says He came in the door!  He goes on to say that if a person does not come by the door, that person is a thief and a robber!  Jesus came in by the “door”!  He came legally; He came in fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies; He came in under the law; Galations 4:4  “But when the fulness of time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law. . . “; Jesus came of the line of David, was born in Bethlehem according to prophecy; born of a virgin; a root of the stem of Jesse.  The royal lineage of David was no longer a family of power and prestige and royalty but Jesus came forth from a peasant family and lived as a lowly carpenter as a “stem” of that royal linage!  Jesus came through the door and He had the credentials assuring all of His authority to do so!

Think now, anyone else without those aforementioned credentials would be a thief and a robber!  We have seen and even now have many who make false claims about their credentials, their power, their authority, and their personhood!

I am staying with the One who came justly, legally, through the door of the Messiahship, JESUS CHIRST!
